eBazar – Local Farmers Marketplace

eBazar is an online market where farmers and households meet with people to sell, buy, and exchange homegrown food and organic goods. Just like a Tinder, but for tomatoes and potatoes.

Timeframe

6–month

1. Customer Development

A website was launched to validate user needs, featuring a short project description and several forms for beta-testing sign-up and a questionnaire. A total of 6,500 submissions were collected from users interested in beta testing the product, along with 1,100 completed forms detailing user experience preferences.

2. Ideation

Insights from sellers and buyers helped define the feature scope for the first version of the app. Ideas and insights from the initial phase were refined into possible features after conducting several interviews.

3. Designing the User Flows

Designed the entire user lifecycle, covering onboarding, empty states, complex states, and more, with appropriate textual content.

4. Visual Design & Branding Basics

Conducted visual research, combined with insights from interviews with potential customers, to define initial branding rules that shaped the visual tone and voice.

5. Wrap-up and Post-Launch

Mapped Material UI components to design elements for a quicker development process. Created a Kanban board with tasks and product requirements for the development team.
